LUKAS Hydraulik, based in Erlangen, Germany, has a rich history of pioneering hydraulic products. Since the late 1940s, they have been manufacturing innovative solutions for numerous industries. Initially focused on industrial applications, they expanded into the re-railing equipment sector in 1955.

Notably, in 1972, LUKAS developed the world’s first hydraulic cutting device for rescue use, laying the foundation for the entire rescue equipment industry. Their commitment to quality remains unwavering, with precision and passion going into each product. Today, the company is a proud member of IDEX Fire and Safety, which has further solidified their global position. LUKAS leverages the collective knowledge and industry expertise of other IDEX brands to maintain its reputation as an industry leader. Their broad portfolio spans multiple sectors: high-pressure hydraulics for industry, re-railing equipment, and hydraulic rescue tools that support emergency services worldwide.

RESCUE – Save Time, Save Lives

As demands placed on firefighters continue to evolve, LUKAS is focused on the future of firefighting. With their groundbreaking e³ generation of rescue tools, they’re revolutionising the industry. Smart sensors and IoT capabilities through the Captium service platform allow early fault detection, roll warnings, temperature alerts, and a turbo function for greater control in demanding situations. These tools can even be used in saltwater up to a depth of 3 meters. The intelligent dashboard provides real-time performance diagnostics, ensuring more efficient and safer tool usage, resulting in greater operational readiness than ever before.

INDUSTRIAL – Moving Your Projects

LUKAS Hydraulik also offers a comprehensive range of powerful hydraulic cylinders designed for industrial applications. There are various types of cylinders, from single and double-acting alloys, which are lightweight yet strong and corrosion-resistant, to robust specialist cylinders made of stainless steel, suitable for drilling platforms or the chemical industry. Safety is a priority for LUKAS: special hoses can be connected to all cylinders in the 500 bar range, equipped with a quick-stop system that prevents the load from sinking uncontrollably. The unique quick-connect coupling, which connects the hoses with just one hand movement, also saves crucial time. Whether lifting a ship, renovating a motorway bridge, or moving a machine, LUKAS cylinders reliably move any load at any time.

RERAILING – Fast, Safe, Trusted Since 1955

LUKAS’ extensive expertise in hydraulics has made them an industry leader in rerailing technology. Safety is paramount in rail emergencies, and LUKAS’ systems are designed with this in mind. Operators can control the system from a safe distance, minimising exposure to hazardous situations. The operating pressure ensures reliability and robust performance, while the hydraulic operation ensures smooth and precise lifting. This allows rescue teams and rail operators to handle even the heaviest rail vehicles with confidence, ensuring that the rails can be used again within a short time and minimising downtime costs.
