Oshkosh Corporation will be unveiling an innovative, all-new Oshkosh fire apparatus and showcasing a wide range of new products and advanced technologies at Interschutz 2015. (The Oshkosh booth is located at open-air site (FG) Stand M06/3.) These products and technologies represent the company’s experience, strength, integrity, and ability to innovate.
With a history that stretches back almost a century, Oshkosh Corporation is no stranger to the world of severe duty vehicles. The company is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of a broad range of access equipment; commercial, fire & emergency and defense vehicles; and vehicle bodies. It manufactures, distributes and services products under the Oshkosh, JLG, Pierce, McNeilus, Jerr-Dan, Frontline, CON-E-CO, London and IMT brands. Headlining the Interschutz booth will be the unveiling of an all-new Oshkosh fire apparatus, engineered and built for international markets. This product draws upon the engineering, design and body building expertise of Pierce Manufacturing, North America’s leading brand of fire and emergency vehicles. Pierce is best known for quality products that include custom and commercial pumpers, aerials, rescue trucks, wildland trucks, minipumpers, elliptical tankers, and command vehicles.

The new Oshkosh fire apparatus is engineered for strength and reliability, with an all aluminum body manufactured by Pierce. Storage space is ample and well designed. Compartments are organized to accommodate customer-specific requirements. The firefighting systems are powerful, with technologies like an integrated foam system and high-pressure hose reels.
Upon completion of its unveiling, the Oshkosh fire apparatus is scheduled to depart on a demonstration tour.
In addition to the new Oshkosh fire apparatus, the Interschutz display will introduce an all-new virtual reality training system for ARFF teams. Unlike anything else available, The Striker Simulator system delivers a giant leap forward in realism, utilizing actual Striker vehicle cockpit components and controls, as well as a series of widescreen video monitors. The Striker Simulator can mimic emergency training scenarios – including, for example, fuel spills and even passengers exiting an aircraft that can’t otherwise safely be recreated at a traditional training center.
