The Fire Industry Association (FIA) has officially welcomed Andrew Ledgerton-Lynch to its team. With over twenty-five years of experience in the fire sector, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and credibility to the organisation.
Andrew has held several leadership roles across the wider fire sector. He served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Fire Fighters Charity from 2016 to 2020, becoming the first non-Fire Service Trustee to lead the charity.
He is currently a Trustee of the Fire Service Research and Training Trust and the Fire Sector Confederation, where he also sits on the advisory council.
His service to the fire safety sector was formally recognised in June 2023 when he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours.
Andrew has worked closely with the FIA in recent years and is already a valued contributor to its work in raising standards and professionalism in the sector.
Ian Moore, Chief Executive of the FIA, commented: “The FIA has had a fantastic few years building its size and reputation with many stakeholders. It is the largest and strongest fire trade association in Europe, with its training, membership depth and technical delivery, and our support for our members is unquestionable.
“With our new Centre of Excellence for fire safety in Northwich and with the implementation of our digital transformation platforms to increase efficiency happening this year, we are well poised to continue our growth and reputation to represent our members in raising the bar of professionalism in our industry.
“Andrew is an exciting addition to our team and his knowledge and passion for fire safety will be instrumental in our delivery and influence, and I am really looking forward to working with him.”
Andrew Ledgerton-Lynch added: “I am excited to join this great organisation that has been so influential in promoting the highest standards in fire safety.
“Having worked alongside many key people within the organisation for a number of years, I appreciate the depth of understanding, high level of expertise and unswerving commitment of members.
“Equally, I look forward to working with an outstanding team with a proven track record of excellence as we continue the journey of developing skills, knowledge and influence.”
