MSA Safety announces opening of Firefighter Experience Centre

MSA Safety Inc., a global leader in the development of advanced safety products and solutions that protect people and facility infrastructures, announced the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Connected Worker and Firefighter Experience Centre at the MSA Safety head protection manufacturing site in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, France.

The new Experience Centre is located within MSA’s renowned head protection facility that traces its roots back more than a century. The Experience Centre is designed to showcase the latest advancements in protective gear for connected workers and firefighters by emphasizing hands-on interaction and immersive learning experiences.

The 150-square meter space is designed to provide industrial workers and firefighters with a location to further their knowledge about the latest available innovative safety technologies. The Experience Centre makes it more convenient for industrial customers and fire brigades to have a space and learn directly from the people who are developing the safety solutions that are helping to keep them safe on the job.

“We are thrilled to open the doors of our Connected Worker and Firefighter Experience Centre to our customers and early adopters in technology,” said Dave Howells, President of MSA International. “This centre is not just a testament to our commitment to safety and innovation but also a tribute to our instrumental French customers, whose feedback, challenges, and needs have been the catalysts for our innovation. They inspire us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in safety technology.”

Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, the town that has earned the title of the fire helmet world’s capital, is also a dynamic town deeply invested in nurturing local enterprises. The city’s commitment to economic vitality and community engagement makes it the perfect home for MSA’s innovative centre.

The Châtillon site is renowned for its expertise in producing a wide range of protective headgear, including the iconic jet style fire helmet the GALLET F1XF, the industrial range of hard hats such as the V-Gard® 950 Protective Cap and V-Gard® H1 Safety Helmet, its range of antiriot and bullet proof helmets, as well as its aviation helmets for helicopter and jet fighter pilots. This diverse manufacturing capability is unique in the market and underscores MSA’s dedication to continuous growth and innovation.
