Trident Emergency Products has established itself as a specialist supplier of high-quality fire truck plumbing and hardware, delivering NFPA compliant solutions designed to improve operational reliability, safety and performance.
With a strong focus on engineering integrity, fast delivery and professional technical support, the company continues to support fire services and vehicle manufacturers worldwide with a comprehensive and proven product portfolio.
A Proven Approach to Pump Priming
At the centre of Trident’s offering is the AirPrime™ air powered pump primer, widely regarded as one of the most reliable priming solutions available for firefighting vehicles. The system utilises the vehicle’s air brake supply to deliver rapid and consistent priming, outperforming traditional electric primers while eliminating electrical load on the vehicle. With no moving parts, AirPrime™ significantly reduces maintenance requirements and includes automatic draining to prevent freezing in cold environments.
Available in automatic, manual and industrial configurations, the system supports single or multi-location installations and allows drafting from hydrants, onboard tanks or multiple intakes. With more than 50,000 units sold globally, AirPrime™ has demonstrated long term durability in demanding operational conditions.
Foam Pump Technologies for Modern Fire Services
As the industry transitions towards fluorine free foams, Trident’s GP Series™ rotary gear positive displacement foam pumps have been developed to handle the higher viscosities associated with synthetic fluorine free foam concentrates. UL listed and capable of managing viscosities up to 5300 cPs, the GP Series™ range covers flow rates from 115 litres per minute to 1890 litres per minute.
Key design features include mechanical seals, spherical bearings and contact free rotors to minimise noise and wear. Bronze wetted components provide corrosion resistance, while the pumps’ ability to run dry indefinitely enhances resilience during challenging operations. Multiple drive options including engine, hydraulic and PTO make the pumps suitable for both mobile and fixed systems, whether for new builds or retrofit applications.
Integrated Thermal Protection
Pump protection and thermal management are addressed through Trident’s ThermaGuard™ solutions. The ThermaGuard™ TRV offers adjustable thermal relief to prevent pump overheating, with built in self-diagnostics and alert functions. The ThermaGuard™ TMS builds on this capability by adding selectable bypass modes, allowing operators to recirculate water or discharge to waste. This flexibility improves operational efficiency and supports water conservation across a wide range of climatic and operational conditions.
Proportioners for Accurate, High-Flow Foam Delivery
Trident’s FOAMATE™ around the pump proportioners provide a straightforward and robust approach to foam proportioning. The FOAMATE™ 1.5 supports Class A, Class B or combined foam concentrates with system flows up to 4000 litres per minute, while the FOAMATE™ 2.1 is designed for Class B applications with flows up to 8000 litres per minute. Integrated adjustment dials enable precise foam ratios, simplifying set up and operation in the field.
The portfolio is completed by a full range of balanced pressure foam system components, including balance valves, metering valves and ratio controllers. These components support bypass or demand-based configurations, with ratio controllers available up to 8-inch sizes for flows reaching 3500 gallons per minute.
In addition, Trident supplies a wide selection of threaded adapters, caps, plugs, Chicksan swivels, drain valves and wildland firefighting products. All products are backed by a five-year warranty, reinforcing the company’s commitment to long term reliability and customer confidence.
