Tony Hanley, Founder and Managing Director of FirePro, was honored with the 2023 Fire Industry Association (FIA) Lifetime Achievement Award at the FIA Annual General Meeting luncheon in London. The event was attended by over 500 professionals and guests from the fire industry.
Hanley, who has contributed significantly to the fire industry, completed his 8th consecutive two-year term as a Volunteer Board Director at the FIA. His tenure over the past 16 years has been marked by dedication and a commitment to progress within the industry.
The FIA’s board of 16 Directors chose to recognise Hanley’s longstanding service and dedication by presenting him with the lifetime achievement award. This gesture reflects the high regard in which he is held by his peers and the industry at large.
Reacting to the award, Hanley said, “My time with the trade association goes way back over 25 years now. There were a number of things that I wanted to help improve and bring about positive change, so I put myself up for election sixteen years ago. I would like to think that to be successfully re-elected seven times over, my contribution has continued to influence the incredibly strong position that the FIA finds itself in today.”
This award underscores Hanley’s impactful contributions and the positive changes he has helped bring about in the fire industry.
