The launch of the PANTHER 8×8 version is planned for 2017

Rosenbauer, the leading fire industry supplier, will bring a new generation of its Panther ARFF crash tender onto the market. The latest Panther 4×4 and 6×6 models will make their debut next year at the Interschutz Trade Fair in Hanover, while the launch of the PANTHER 8×8 version is planned for 2017.

Design continues to play a decisive role with regard to the next Panther generation. ‘Indeed, the self-assured form language of the predecessor series that received numerous awards (including the iF product design award 2006, the red dot design award 2006, the International Design Excellence Award 2008) has been retained and accentuated. Balanced, harmonious proportions, clear lines and a freshly designed front section are all set to emphasize the Panther’s dynamic image,’ said Rosenbauer’s Gerda Königstorfer.

Increased performance
’The front section of the truck lends the new Panther a striking appearance and provides the crew with an improved panorama view from the cab. The lighting system not only highlights the design accents, but also contributes to vehicle safety. In addition, the newly developed, FEM-optimized cabin cell offers greater crew protection and is being subjected to extensive crash testing in order to document passenger safety,’ she continued.

The instrumentation layout in the cockpit has been rearranged and in general, functionality and user comfort levels have been raised considerably.

’Apart from the superstructure and the cabin, the extinguishing technology systems has also been upgraded for the new Panther. Pumps, proportioning systems and monitors are further enhancing firefighting performance of what is already the world’s most powerful ARFF.’

’The new Panther represents a combination of user-oriented functionality and an emotive design language at the leading edge of technology. Moreover, production in the world’s most modern fire industry plant will ensure uniform, certificated quality of the very highest technical standard.’ Concluded Gerda.
