Hochiki Europe, a provider of fire detection and life safety solutions, has revealed their nomination as finalists for the Fire Safety Project of the Year Award at the 2024 Fire Safety Matters (FSM) Awards.
This esteemed accolade recognises excellence in fire safety design, installation and commissioning. Hochiki’s nomination stems from their collaboration with Southern Fire Alarms on the innovative Livingstone Academy project in Bournemouth. This state-of-the-art educational institution commenced operations in September 2023.
Hochiki’s cutting-edge fire protection technology plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of Livingstone Academy. The project incorporated Hochiki’s intelligent ESP range of products, deploying over 400 devices across the entire premises. A network of ALN smoke detectors and ACD Multi-Sensors from the ESP range were selected for their EN54 accreditation, with the ACD’s capability to detect heat, smoke and CO across three sensing elements being particularly noteworthy. This comprehensive system guarantees complete fire coverage throughout the facility, offering early warning and facilitating prompt responses to potential emergencies.

The winners of the FSM Awards will be unveiled at a ceremony on 12th June 2024 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
