Hochiki Europe has recognised the long-standing commitment of its workforce with the presentation of its 2025 Long Service Awards, celebrating employees who have reached key service milestones across the business.
The awards were presented by Managing Director Shinsuke Kubo to colleagues marking 5, 10 and 20 years of service, alongside special recognition for two employees who have each completed 25 years with the organisation. Janet Smith and Paul Adams were both honoured for their quarter-century contribution to the company.
Long service remains a defining feature of Hochiki Europe’s corporate culture. The business reports an average employee tenure of 6.89 years, significantly above typical industry levels. The company says this stability underpins its technical capability, market knowledge and long-term customer relationships across the fire safety sector.
Award recipients represented a wide range of functions, including Production, Engineering, Quality, Research and Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Support. Collectively, these teams hold extensive operational and technical expertise, supporting product reliability, regulatory compliance and continued innovation.
Many of the long-serving employees recognised this year have been directly involved in major product launches, technology developments and market expansion projects. Their experience has also contributed to the ongoing enhancement of customer support operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, reinforcing Hochiki Europe’s position as a key supplier in the life safety market.
Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director Shinsuke Kubo highlighted the importance of experience and continuity within the organisation. He said:
“Our long-serving employees are the backbone of our organisation. Their experience, passion and deep understanding of both our technology and our customers enable us to deliver world-class fire safety solutions. I am incredibly proud of their dedication and am honoured to recognise their achievements today.”
Reflecting on her 25-year milestone, Janet Smith pointed to the life safety impact of the company’s work as a key motivation for her long tenure.
She said: “What I love most about this industry is knowing that the products we build genuinely save lives. Hochiki Europe has always supported its people, encouraged growth and fostered teamwork. That is why so many of us stay for so long.”
Hochiki Europe says the 2025 Long Service Awards highlight the role that loyalty, technical expertise and shared purpose play in maintaining high standards of safety and performance. With a workforce committed to quality and innovation, the company continues to build on a foundation of experience that supports its long-term growth in the global fire detection and alarm market.
