Global HSE Group has appointed Dave Bartholomew as its new Head of Active Fire Solutions, overseeing the company’s fire protection systems for complex and high-risk buildings across the UK.
In his new role, Bartholomew will lead the design, specification, installation and commissioning of active fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with British standards including BS EN 12845, BS 9251 and B9999:2017. His remit covers the full lifecycle of fire systems, from technical design and product selection to regulatory alignment, commissioning and client handover.
Bartholomew brings over 20 years of experience in fire protection, including expertise in CPVC sprinklers, gas suppression, water mist, and fire and smoke dampers. He previously served as CEO and owner of the Chrinica Group, delivering fire safety projects across Africa. He holds certifications as a Fire Suppression Commissioner and Fire Detection Commissioner under the SAQCC, as well as qualifications in fire and smoke damper inspection.
Welcoming the appointment, Ross O’Loughlin, Director at Global HSE Group, said Bartholomew’s experience managing complex projects and focus on regulatory compliance will strengthen the company’s offering. Bartholomew described the move as an opportunity to enhance Global’s active fire solutions and support clients in meeting their fire safety objectives.
Global HSE Group said the appointment is part of its strategy to expand fire systems delivery in the UK and to enhance services for clients with challenging sites, high-value assets and critical operations. Bartholomew’s appointment is effective immediately.
