The UAE’s safety, security, and fire protection leaders shone brightly at the prestigious Intersec Awards 2025, securing eight accolades across 16 fiercely contested categories. Held on 15 January at the Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai, the awards gala recognised exceptional contributions to advancing global safety and security standards.
With a record-breaking 1,421 entries from over 30 countries, the UAE stood out for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. Winners included the Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC, and NAFFCO, showcasing the nation’s leadership in fostering cutting-edge solutions and homegrown talent.
Notable victories included the Fire Safety Excellence Project – Middle East & Africa, awarded to Dubai Civil Defense, and the Fire Safety Innovation Award, secured by NAFFCO for its groundbreaking Falcon 6 firefighting and rescue vehicle. The Rising Star Award for Emirati Talent celebrated Lt. Col. Dr. Humaid Al Ali, lauded for his pioneering contributions to fire safety.
Newly introduced categories highlighted emerging priorities, with Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC claiming the Excellence in Testing, Evaluation, and Certification Award and PwC Middle East recognised for Consulting Leadership in Fire Safety, Security, and Cybersecurity.
Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, praised the winners: “These awards celebrate the dedication, innovation, and impact of industry leaders shaping a safer and more secure world.”
Running alongside the 26th edition of Intersec, which hosted over 1,200 exhibitors and 52,000 visitors, the awards underscored the UAE’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the safety and security sectors.
