Following a blaze at a school in Newhaven, two 13-year-old girls have been arrested on suspicion of arson, with the fire taking place at a former school.
On the 18th December, 40 firefighters had to be deployed to the former Grans School which is located on Western Road in Newhaven, with the fire tearing through the building and causing extensive damage.
No-one was harmed in the fire, though it remains under investigation, while the teenagers in question are still in police custody until things are resolved.
The black smoke was so strong that it was seen billowing down the East Sussex coast.
