Desu Systems celebrates 20 years of safety leadership

Desu Systems, a global specialist in flame and gas detection and suppression distribution, is celebrating its 20th anniversary by launching a new industry initiative: ‘20 Insights from 20 Years’. The campaign highlights key lessons, innovations, and field experience gained through two decades of partnership across the industrial safety sector.

For twenty years, Desu Systems has been a trusted technical partner to safety professionals across 60+ countries, supplying and supporting world-class brands including Spectrex, Buckeye Fire, Emerson Measurement Solutions, Sensia and Hansentek.

Its solutions have helped protect thousands of critical facilities, from refineries and offshore substations to hydrogen plants, food processing sites, and aviation hangars.

“When we started Desu Systems in 2005, we set out to do things differently; faster, more flexible, and with total focus on the customer,” says Ronald Verkroost, Founder of Desu Systems. “Twenty years later, we’ve proven that trusted relationships and technical excellence are what drive real safety. This anniversary is about giving back; sharing what we’ve learned to help others raise their standards of protection.”

The 20 Insights from 20 Years campaign distills Desu Systems’ real-world experience into practical lessons on detection, prevention, and performance reliability. The insights are featured on a dedicated anniversary hub, alongside a visual company timeline, customer success stories, and milestones of technological progress.

“Our industry evolves constantly: smarter sensors, predictive data, fewer false alarms,” added Emile Hippe, CEO of Desu Systems. “But what doesn’t change is our mission: to guide safety professionals toward the best-fit solutions for their environments. We’re proud to stand behind the technologies that keep people, assets, and operations safe – every day.”

Desu Systems’ longevity and reputation are reflected in strong testimonials from global partners:

Emil Cohen, Emerson Measurement Solutions, praised Desu’s, “unmatched expertise in flame and gas solutions,” and, “dedication to partner success.”

Jason Sickenberger, Buckeye Fire, noted the company’s, “professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence”.

Ryan Facer, Hansentek, commended the, “collaborative feedback that strengthened our product development,”.

Daan Korenhoff, Lavastica, described Desu as, “a partner who always keeps their promises,”.
And Ivan Vučević of Zarja Elektronika summed it up simply: “Desu are the best.”

Since 2005, Desu Systems has grown from a small operation in the Netherlands to become the largest global distributor of flame detection systems, combining deep technical knowledge with outstanding customer support. Its expertise continues to power critical safety infrastructure worldwide.
