The University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy utilizes the latest methods and technologies available, providing state-of-the-art, hands-on and classroom training in crisis and emergency management, including natural disasters, terrorism incidents, man-made emergencies, incident command and response, hazardous materials, industrial fire fighting, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), shipboard and offshore fire fighting, and mine, trench and excavation rescue.
