In Brief

At AMB, the International Exhibition for Metalworking 2022 from September 13 to 17 in Stuttgart, the international fire protection solutions provider WAGNER, based in Langenhagen near Hanover, will be presenting its technologies and systems in firefighting using gas extinguishing technology for the production and machine tool sectors. Another highlight at the trade fair will be the aspirating smoke detection systems of the TITANUS product family for the earliest possible fire detection. In this segment in particular, the fire protection company is currently benefiting from stable supplier relationships and resilient supply chains. The holistic fire protection solutions for machine tools can be seen at booth 420.

“There are various sources of risk in machine tools that lead to a fire, such as technical faults, but flying sparks, heat generation during machine use and the use of flammable liquids such as lubricating oils also harbour corresponding fire risks. But a fire always has consequences: cost-intensive business interruptions, loss of reputation and market share, as well as repair and replacement costs,” explains Stephan Otto-Keinke, Stuttgart Branch Manager of WAGNER Deutschland GmbH. “That is why we at WAGNER have designed a compact extinguishing system as a solution consisting of fire detection and firefighting by means of gas extinguishing – FirExting Compact. It can be individually designed to suit local conditions and is VdS certified,” adds Otto-Keinke.

WAGNER also relies entirely on the FirExting gas extinguishing system for firefighting in other areas of application, thus ensuring efficient, residue-free gas extinguishing without consequential damage. Using inert gases, carbon dioxide or chemical extinguishing gases, the system works on the principle that a fire is deprived of the basis for further spread.

Also in focus at this show is early fire detection with TITANUS aspirating smoke detectors. TITANUS detectors form the basis of individual, holistic fire protection solutions. They detect fires at a very early stage so that appropriate countermeasures can be initiated quickly. TITANUS is available in various versions with a wide range of accessories – for applications in production and machine tools, but also in warehouses/logistics, data centers, archives/museums, hotels and many more. This also includes TITANUS RACK·SENS, specially designed for monitoring 19″ equipment such as control cabinets in production.

At this year’s AMB in Stuttgart, WAGNER will provide comprehensive information about the TITANUS product family, its other areas of expertise in fire protection, and the worldwide network of subsidiaries and strong partners with which the fire protection company always offers its customers the better solution in fire protection.
